Master of Science in Data Science — Delivered Online From the Daniel Felix Ritchie School

The University of Denver Daniel Felix Ritchie School of Engineering and Computer Science offers an MS in Data Science online that empowers students to build the tools that facilitate the use of data to make important business, research, and policy decisions.  

The online master’s program is designed to prepare analytically minded students from any academic background to build data collection tools and use evaluation techniques like data mining and machine learning to inform critical decision-making.

For students who do not have a computer science background, there are three bridge courses in computer science programming basics, calculus, and discrete linear algebra to provide them with the necessary foundation to be successful in their data science coursework.

If you are in the Denver area, an on-campus MS in Data Science program is also available. Identical to the MS in Data Science earned online, the degree earned on campus requires no computer science background. Classes are held on the DU campus in the evenings to accommodate working professionals. You can also enroll full- or part-time and finish your degree in 18–24 months depending on academic background.
